This engaging, action-packed full-day online course not only delivers a comprehensive overview of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion ‘best practice’ for schools, it also equips you with the skills and resources to deliver the same training to your school staff. We work in a small group, which allows us to explore the topic in a safe, open and relaxed manner.

Aims of the Train the Trainer Course
- Develop the knowledge and skills to deliver EDI training to your staff
- Explore facilitation strategies and skills to reduce conflict and gain ‘buy-in’ from staff when delivering training
- Be able to support staff to generate a whole school EDI action plan
During the training, you will also cover the following aims, before delivering on the same aims with your staff:
- Gain an understanding of the key concepts of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)
- Explore the benefits of embedding EDI in a school setting
- Develop an understanding of the equality legislation and how it applies in a school setting
- Explore the nine protected characteristics and how to promote inclusion around them
- Understand what constitutes unlawful discrimination
- Develop strategies for proactively preventing and tackling inappropriate language and behaviour within your school
- Examine how unconscious bias can manifest in a school setting and how to reduce it
- Explore strategies and practical ideas for embedding EDI best practice across the school to proactively create an environment where staff and pupils value and respect differences and feel safe, valued and engaged.
