Do you need help navigating your EDI journey?

We live in an increasingly diverse society – this is what makes the world so interesting, innovative and vibrant.

As UK society becomes more diverse, we must equip our students and staff to understand, respect and celebrate diversity in all its forms and prepare our students for life, as engaged and respectful citizens in modern Britain.

Furthermore, our students and staff deserve to be treated with dignity and respect in their learning and working environments. When we feel safe and valued in an inclusive environment, we thrive.

Over recent years, great strides have been made on a legal level to support Equality in UK society, through the introduction of the Equality Act 2010 and the Public Sector Equality Duty. However, there’s no clear roadmap for how to embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in a school setting. That’s where we come in.

Our EDI training courses equip school staff with the confidence, tools and strategies to:

  • Fulfil the school’s legal and moral responsibilities to promote equality, tackle discrimination and foster positive relationships
  • Embed EDI best practice in planning, resourcing and delivering inclusive learning
  • Establish a climate where all students and staff feel valued, included and empowered

Who are Inclusive Practice?

We are a Manchester-based company delivering Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) training. We deliver EDI training to schools, colleges and ITT providers across the UK.

As experienced EDI trainers and outstanding teachers, we bring inside knowledge of working in the education system, along with the tools to deliver our EDI training in an engaging and accessible manner for all.

How we work and what to expect from our EDI training...

We offer a free and friendly consultation call to discuss your EDI training requirements.

We deliver half-day and full-day interactive training sessions with both face-to-face and online options to suit different group sizes and budgets.

We recognise that EDI can feel like an uncomfortable topic for many, so it is vital to establish a safe space contract. We create an environment where people can engage in honest and meaningful dialogue, reflect on strengths and areas for opportunity within current practice, challenge each other respectfully, and pose questions without fear.

We employ a range of teaching styles and resources to cater to different learning styles; this allows delegates to discuss, debate, ask questions and explore real-life situations in context.

Our training sessions come with a comprehensive training pack which includes an Equality Code, an inclusive language guide, best practice audits, and links to further resources.

If you’re not quite sure what your EDI training course should entail, you can trust us to use our knowledge and experience to advise you on the length and content of the session to ensure your training needs are met.
