Inclusive Practice in Education - Initial Teacher Training

This bespoke training is designed to help trainee teachers embed equality, diversity and inclusion in their everyday practice enabling them to develop a highly inclusive classroom culture. The training can be tailored to be delivered as part of an inset programme or CPD and comes with the option of accessing our additional resources.

The content of our course (3 hours):

Who is the course aimed at?

This course is aimed at trainee teachers and can be delivered at any stage of the ITT programme.

What will delegates get out of the course?

Delegates will have a clear understanding of equality law and their legal responsibility as teachers to promote equality, tackle discrimination and foster positive relations. They will understand the negative impact of bias on decision-making and relationship-building and have ways of mitigating it. Delegates will be able to recognise discriminatory language and behaviour and be given the strategies to tackle such behaviour in a positive and assertive manner. They will acquire a wide range of differentiation strategies to weave into their planning, resources and delivery of inclusive learning.
